Terry Fox was a national hero. He wanted to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. Terry had cancer in his leg and had to get it amputated. While he was running his prosthetic leg would rub against his upper thigh causing it to bleed. Terry ran 42 kilometers a day this was no easy run there was a lot of pain and sorrow but there was also a lot of joy. Terry brings hope to so many people. Sadly Terry did not achieve his goal he stoped in Thunder Bay and died because his cancer had spread to his heart. May his legacy live on forever.
