The Digestive System

This is what I know so far about the digestive system.

The exercise that we did was to measure the actual size of our own this is how we did it to measure the mouth you take a string and put it from your lips to your cheek my mouth is 16 cm long.

This is how you measure your esophagus you take anouther string and put it from your mouth to your rib cage my  esophagus is 27 cm long .

Next is the stomach  to measure your stomach put a string from your little finger to your thumb when your hand is starched out my stomach is 17 cm. To measure your small intestine (the longest part of the digestive system) the string and measure how much string can fit in your fist with non coming out mine is 3m and 97cm long .

The final part of the digestive system is the large intestine to measure the large intestine put a string from your head to your toe my large intestine is 1m and 32cm long .

All the parts of the digestive system Mouth esophagus stomach small intestine large intestine Anus . The mouth chews the food and puts it down the esophagus to the stomach. Which collects all the nutrients. When it leaves the stomach it is almost liquid. Then it goes to the small intestine were it sucks out even more nutrients . Then all the stuff that your body needs goes out your small intestine to your large intestine . Where it goes out your anus .

  1. Hi Eliya,

I loved learning how you made the digestive system. It sounds like it was a fun project. Will you be learning about other parts of the body this year?

    Keep up the great work!

  2. This was a very descriptive and illustrative post! Your drawing was quite detailed and well-done! Which part of the work do you find easier/more enjoyable – writing the paragraphs or drawing the diagram? Do you know what you’ll be studying next?

Look forward to reading more posts! Keep up the great work!
